2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to manage our client relationships and communicate effectively across multiple channels:

  • Legal Intake & Operations: To evaluate your potential case, schedule consultations, and maintain contact regarding your legal matters across our offices.

  • Payment Processing: We use LawPay to securely process payments for legal services, consultations, retainers, and administrative fees.

  • Voice & Text Communications: We use RingCentral to manage our telephone communications, voicemails, and SMS text communications.

  • Email Communications: To send you case updates, appointment confirmations, and informational legal updates.

  • SMS Updates & Reminders: To send text updates regarding scheduling, consultation reminders, or urgent case notices (only if you have provided explicit opt-in consent).

3. Sharing Your Information & Third-Party Vendors

We respect your privacy and protect client confidentiality. We do not sell your personal information. We only share data with trusted third parties required to conduct firm business:

  • Payment Gateways: Financial data is shared directly and securely with LawPay to safely complete transactions in compliance with legal industry standards.

  • Communications Platforms: Phone numbers and text conversations are transmitted through RingCentral to deliver voice and SMS services.

  • SMS Consent Exception: Mobile phone numbers collected specifically for SMS communication or text marketing consent will not be shared, sold, or rented to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

  • Legal Disclosures: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.

 

4. Your Rights and Opt-Out Choices

You maintain full control over how our firm communicates with you:

5. Professional Attorney-Client Privilege Note

Please note that transmitting information via our general website contact form does not create an attorney-client relationship. Confidential or time-sensitive information should not be sent through the general website form until a formal attorney-client relationship has been established with Smith & Company, PLLC.

Terms and Conditions of Use

Welcome to smithelaw.com (the "Site"). This Site is owned and operated by Smith & Company, PLLC ("we," "us," or "our"). 1. No Attorney-Client Relationship

  • No Relationship Formed: Your use of this Site, including the submission of information through contact forms, emails, or scheduling links, does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and Smith & Company, PLLC.

2. Payments and LawPay Processing

When you pay for a consultation, retainer, or legal services through our Site, you agree to the following financial terms:

  • Payment Processor: All electronic payments are securely processed through LawPay, a specialized third-party legal payment gateway. By submitting payment details, you authorize LawPay and our firm to charge the designated payment method.

  • Fees and Billing: Consultation fees are due at the time of scheduling unless otherwise specified.

  • Refund Policy: Consultation fees are non-refundable unless canceled at least 24 hours in advance. All refunds are subject to our standard retainer agreements.

3. Communications via RingCentral (Voice and SMS)

1. SMS Consent Communication:

The information Phone Numbers obtained as part of the SMS consent process will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

 

2. Types of SMS Communications:

If you have consented to receive text messages from Smith & Company, PLLC , you may receive messages related to the following:

 

  • Conversations about Appointment reminders

 

  • Conversations about Follow-up messages

Example: "Hello, this is a friendly reminder of your upcoming appointment with Eon Smith of Smith & Company, PLLC at 100 Pearl Street, 14th Floor, Hartford CT 06105 on September 26, 2026 at 4:15PM. You can reply STOP to opt out of SMS messaging from Smith & Company, PLLC  at any time."

3. Message Frequency:
Message frequency may vary depending on the type of communication. For example, you may receive up to 2 SMS messages per week related to your appointments/conversaitons, etc.

Example: "Message frequency may vary. You may receive up to 2 SMS messages per week regarding your appointments or account status."

4. Potential Fees for SMS Messaging: 

Please note that standard message and data rates may apply, depending on your carrier’s pricing plan. These fees may vary if the message is sent domestically or internationally.

5. Opt-In Method:

6. Opt-Out Method:
